With the coming Geospatial Foundation meeting scheduled for Feb 4 in Chicago you have to sit back and wonder how this meeting will pan out... wouldn't you just love to be a fly on the wall on that one! Looking through the foundation's discussion list archives (http://lists.mapserverfoundation.org/pipermail/discuss/) you can see that debates are frequent and discussions are lively (case in point, see the ongoing topics on what to name the foundation, legal issues, and how to handle existing trademarks like MAPtools etc...) - one can only imagine that the meeting next month will be extremely lively. As one member planning on particpating in the meeting has mentioned to me... you have to wonder what will be resolved "with so many cooks in the kitchen ". Should be interesting to follow.
