Lightning notes from the ESRI Homeland security conference, Denver CO - This week in Denver CO a number of representatives from local, State, and Federal Governments as well as members of the private sector were gathered together to discuss the impact of GIS on homeland security and emergency response. Tuesday morning's reception featured a number of high-level speakers including Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, Justin DeMello (Denver Office of Emergency Management), Daniel Cotter (CTO US DHS), and Jack Dangermond (ESRI). Dangermond noted that the server supports GI management, supports all kinds of data types, and is useful in replicating data for multiple users and uses.
