Atherton Tablelands Geographic Information Services fights wildfires

Local firefighters down-under have an innovative new tool to help plan for the fire season. Online mapping and document exchange facilities funded through the Natural Disaster Mitigation Program and constructed by Atherton Tablelands Geographic Information Services (ATGIS) are now available to help rural firefighters and other stakeholders in wildfire mitigation, share information, plan and prepare for response to wildfire threats to the Northern Queensland community.
