2005 Predictable stories from Wired and Google capitalizing on search term "Virtual Earth" to lead surfers to Google Earth

In traditional manner, Wired has launched their 2005 most predictable stories.. of course topping the list is Google... here's what they say... Google Maps: In retrospect, how did anyone bear using MapQuest's clunky interface, and why didn't we all realize that dragging a map would feel so good? See http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,69919-0.html?tw=rss.index. Speaking of Google.. have you tried to search on the term "Virtual Earth"... it's interesting to note that sponsored links that come up at the top are from Google which points to earth.google.com and to Microsoft's Virtual Earth site at www.local.live.com... interesting how Google can capitalize on the search term to lead to their solution yet if you try to incorporate terms like Google Earth etc.. into your Google adwords you will no doubt have your ad suspended for violating the terms.
